Repositories

Click Add or Edit to open the Repository Definition window. Repositories configured here will be listed within the Retrieval module. Alternately the user can configure these repositories directly within the Retrieval module.

The Retrieval module is an optional module which contains a repository. The user may search this repository by index information or by using its full text search capabilities. Annotations may be saved inside (as part of) the TIFF file or as a separate file. This module only supports TIFF images and is primarily used by users to query what has already been scanned when they do not have access to a document management system.

Shared Search Databases

Shared Databases is a list available to all capture profiles so that multiple users can access the Retrieval connection in order to search/return images and metadata under the Retrieval Module.

Simply provide the Database Type (Provider), configure the connection string, and apply any Table Settings (if applicable). By default, new Database connections setup through the "Shared Search Databases" tab will be set to "Shared by All Users" for the Definition Sharing.
