PSIcapture Documentation: Compacting Database: Slow when PC is not connected to internet

Problem:

When PC is connected to internet, or the network is given a proper internet gateway, opening a batch in PSIcapture takes a few seconds.  When internet access is denied, either by proxy, false internet gateway, etc, opening a batch displays "Compacting Database" for at least 20 seconds or more.

Solution:

This issue is based on the Measurement Studio .NET assemblies (part of the SQL calls that would be exhibited with opening batches).  Essentially, the .NET assembly is attempting to download and/or verify the certificate/signature.  You can disable this check by going to Control Panel Internet Options Advanced and unchecking "Check for publisher's certificate revocation", which is located in the Security section of that Advanced tab.  This would have to be done on each machine running PSIcapture
