[Legacy] PSIsafe Troubleshooting: Issue 07.07: Trying to sign a Form with signature pad causes unhandled exception, closing Forms

Problem: 

When trying to sign a form with a signature pad (TOPAZ), an unhandled exception occurs, causing Forms to close.

Solution: 

1. Close SAFE Client.
2. Go to the following path:

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Roaming\CNG\Client\Users\\
Windows 7-11: C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\CNG\Client\Users\

3. If necessary, create a directory named FilerSettings.
4. In the FilerSettings directory, create a new text file named CNGLocalConfig.ini.
5. Add the following text to the file: [TopazSig] ;ControlType=0 Uses Topaz .Net Assembly ;ControlType=1 Uses Topaz ActiveX ControlType=1
6. Re-open SAFE Client and try using the signature pad again. It should work now.
