[1/8/2014 2:22:23 PM - Error - v5.0.1.7] ResolveAssembly[RecoStar] Failed to load from path C:\Program Files (x86)\PSIGEN\Capture\Libraries\OpenText RecoStar\RecoStar.dll.
System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Program Files (x86)\PSIGEN\Capture\Libraries\OpenText RecoStar\RecoStar.dll' or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515) File name: 'file:///C:\Program Files (x86)\PSIGEN\Capture\Libraries\OpenText RecoStar\RecoStar.dll' --- System.NotSupportedException: An attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed in previous versions of the .NET Framework. This release of the .NET Framework does not enable CAS policy by default, so this load may be dangerous. If this load is not intended to sandbox the assembly, please enable the loadFromRemoteSources switch. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=155569 for more information.

Solution:

This error is caused by dependencies not being installed correctly. Below are links to 3 EXE files that will resolve the issue:  http://psigen.com/downloads/vcredist_80_x86.zip (Note:  It is NOT necessary to “Remove” existing Microsoft Visuall C++ Redistributables.  Just run the 3 EXE’s and restart the Service.)

Also, on a Server 2008 R2 machine, it may be necessary to add the 2010 version of the 2010 C++ x86 version:  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

*  The Installer for PSICapture 4.6 automatically installs these files; therefore, upgrading will resolve the issue.

Solution for 5.0.1.7:

“Take a look at the RecoStar.dll file properties see if there is a security message "This file came from another computer and might be blocked..." if present, press the Unblock button. Microsoft will block .dll files it deems to be foreign to the system and needs to be manually unblocked in these situations.
