PSIcapture SQL LocalDB: Difference between ldf/mdf files

LDF & MDF are the new standard for SQL Database files and are both required in order to create a database in SQL server 2012.

LDF: Transaction Log file

MDF: Known as Primary Data containing the actual database tables and data
