PSIcapture Reference: How PSIcapture creates PDF files for PDF/A ISO compliance

How does PSIcapture create PDF files for PDF/A ISO compliance? What libraries does PSIcapture use to create these?

Our PDF library is BitMiracle’s Docotic.PDF.  Any information can be found on their web site.

We provide three PDF conformance levels, one of which is PDF/A-1b.  To generate such a PDF, we set Docotic.PDF’s “ProducePdfA” option to true before we call their Save function.  Per their documentation, this ensures that the saved PDF will be PDF/A-1b compliant.  See for details.

PDF15 compresses object streams and requires Adobe Reader 6+.  PDF14 is “old school” PDF – no object stream compression.
