PSIcapture Error Creating Batch: An attempt was made to create more links on a file than the file system supports

Problem:

When trying to create a batch in the Capture/Import module, the subject error appears.

Error Text:

Error creating Batch: An attempt was made to create more links on a file than the file system supports.

Solution:

In the incident encountered, creating a new batch storage location resolved the issue.

The existing batch storage location for the case studied had over 65,000 items in it.

The Capture profile also had C# scripting running lookups at batch creation.
