PSIcapture 7.8.0 (7.8.0.4) Release Notes

Installation Procedure

  • Versions 4.6 and BELOW: Please upgrade to 5.1.1.10 BEFORE installing 7.5.

PSIsafe Customers:

  • The PSIsafe Direct migration has been updated to support migrations to PSIsafe 11.3 natively. This deprecates connectivity to any version older than PSIsafe 11.3 (PSIC-7678)
  • PSIsafe 12.1 direct migration uses the new PSIGEN Affinity direct migration. The PSIGEN Affinity Direct migration requires the Affinity Server be installed to function properly (PSIC-7176). Please contact support to request a download.

  • PSIC-7797: Added the ability to set an alert on documents when redaction is configured in QA Auto Processing but no redactions were able to be processed on a document.
  • PSIC-7796: Added the ability to use the value of an Index Field as the Smart Zone anchor expression for the Redaction Using Zones command in QA Auto Processing to dynamically apply redactions based on variables.
  • PSIC-7790: Added the ability to view which user validated a Classification Form and when the validation occurred.
  • PSIC-7776: Added the ability to see which user validated a Zone Profile and when the validation occurred.
  • PSIC-7775: Added an option to allow Zone Profiles to be automatically validated when a user moves away from a document in the Indexing module.
  • PSIC-7200: Added additional barcode processing engine, Aspose, to increase accuracy of barcode and patch code recognition. (NOTE: The Aspose engine should only be used in specific cases where significant improvement in recognition accuracy is observed as the engine processes more slowly than the OpenText engine.)

  • PSIC-7874: Resolved an issue where attempting to export individual or multiple Classification Forms from Classification Settings was resulting in an error message.
  • PSIC-7852: Resolved an issue where an error could occur when deleting the last record of a document within a Quality Assurance step.
  • PSIC-7842: Resolved an issue where a user was unable to clear the alert on a document resulting from redactions not processing.

    • PSIC-7614: Improved user experience by automatically creating a new Zone Profile if user selects a Classification Form in Indexing which doesn't trigger an existing Zone Profile, if that option is enabled.
    • PSIC-7573: Improved user experience by automatically creating a corresponding Zone Profile if a document matches a Classification Form during Classification which is not triggering an existing Zone Profile.
    • PSIC-7443: Added Accelerated Classification Configuration options to Indexing module.

    • PSIC-6369: Added a Positive/Negative Match column to Classification Forms Database Import settings for specifying whether rules created via the Database Import should be considered positive or negative matching rules.
  • PSIC-7706: Renamed Microsoft SharePoint Online (Office 365) direct migration to SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) to reflect branding change by Microsoft). Deprecated support for SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010.
  • PSIC-7705: Improved user experience by allowing offline licensing requests to be processed when using Term-based licensing.
  • PSIC-7678: Improved security by updating the PSIsafe Direct migration to support migrations to PSIsafe 11.3. This deprecates connectivity to any version older than PSIsafe 11.3.
  • PSIC-7605: Updated the PSIcapture installer to detect the deprecated operating systems Windows 7 and Server 2008 and prevent installation from proceeding.
  • PSIC-7600: Improved accessibility functions by removing the full path of current file loaded in Viewer from application title bar.
  • PSIC-7593: Added a feature to provide a high contrast theme to address end-user accessibility.
  • PSIC-6909: Added the ability to list which Document Record Types are duplicates when adding or importing them into Document Record Types list.
  • PSIC-6935: Added the ability to set or clear Status Flags of High Priority, Suspended, and Held on multiple batches at once from within Batch Manager.

  • PSIC-7339: Enhanced retention of accurate page counts to include local and centralized backups of page counts, as well as automating the restoration of page counts during a license reset. This process provides failover and retention to allow customers to be restored back to the most recent restore point, or a designated point in time.
  • PSIC-7338: Introduced an automated algorithm to reset licenses which have been invalidated due to environmental changes. This change is aimed at enhancing PSIcapture's operating capabilities within virtual environments.

  • Resolved an issue in Migration Settings where the Linked Field warnings in Field Settings were showing whether that field was selected or not.
  • Resolved an issue where Index Field was not available for selection as a Rule Type while classifying documents via ACE.
  • Resolved an unhandled exception which would occur if a user attempted to import duplicate Index Field names via a pre-defined Capture Profile Template. Duplicate Index Field names are now allowed to import without error. Note that the use of duplicate Index Field names is still not permitted within a Capture Profile, and any duplicate Index Field names imported will need to be renamed prior to saving your final Capture Profile.
  • Resolved an issue with setting a password on a PDF in the OCR module. The user can now set either a Document Open password, or a Permissions password, and the resulting PDF will be password secured appropriately.
  • Resolved an issue where a user could receive an Out of Memory error when rejecting documents of very large file sizes.
  • Resolved an issue where Smart Zone OMR was creating multiple records even when support for multiple records was disabled, and the "create a record for each Smart Zone anchor found" option was disabled.
  • Resolved an issue where an unhandled exception could occur if a non-TIFF image file was selected as the template image for a Classification Form.
  • Resolved an issue where an unhandled exception would occur if certain elements of the Laserfiche Direct Migration were not configured. Database, Volume, and Parent Folder are now required before a Laserfiche Migration can be saved.
